I have no idea when the first picture was taken. Probably in the 90s. The other 3 were taken and or developed Oct 28th, 2001.
The wheels were Keystone Raiders, a Cragar knock off. Pap was worried about the originals getting damaged, because, as far as I remember him telling me, they didn’t make reproductions and originals were expensive as hell.
The 3 from 2001 are probably right before it went into storage. I was only two so I have no real idea. I swear I have the vaguest memory of being in the garage with him while he was changing the oil or something but who knows.

I wish they’d go back to the 1967 blue and yellow plates. I also think it would cool for the sports team plates if they had the teams color scheme. Like the wings plate is just a red wings logo on the side, why not make it red with white letters? Tigers could be navy with orange. The lions would be the same as the standard plate. Pistons blue with red letters with a white outline. The U of M plates would look sweet too.
I get why they’d never do that, but it would be cool if they did.

I miss ‘em too. I’ve actually got that very plate right next to me in one of my desk drawers.

Funny you mention the ‘67 plates.
